About the Alicia Mattern:
Alicia started drawing at the early age of 4. Her favorite character was Garfield! Using that as her foundation, she drew many different cartoon characters growing up. Art was her main course of study throughout high school and college and she was also a set designer for both drama departments.
Alicia graduated Magna Cum Laude and College Fellow in Fine Arts (Studio Art Concentration) at Jamestown College, North Dakota in 2001; Minors in Business Administration and Information Technology. Alicia works as a graphic artist for a local sticker company and freelances out of her home. Furthermore, Alicia works with local production companies and photographers working as a model, special makeup effects artist and photo editor and has walked the fashion runway for Toxic Sadie Swimwear.

About the Zombie Squirts:
As I was designing these adorable zombie stickers, I started seeing cartoon episodes in my head. Then I thought what a great picture book this would make! I decided to buy the artwork rights from the sticker company and started the book process. I was so grateful the company and I came to an agreement for them to keep selling the stickers and allow me to do what I wanted with the characters. They give me full support and wish me the best in my new adventure!
